Job Description

Summary

The Site Supervisor supports the MDA Security and Emergency Management Directorate (DSS) in managing Enterprise Access Control Services (EACS) at MDA facilities located throughout the United States. 


Responsibilities

  • Manages and supervises management and hourly staff to ensure access control, visitor support, and alarm response and dispatch operations are being executed in full compliance with contract requirements.
  • Works in collaboration with the site Operations Managers, Operations Support Manager and Shift Supervisors to ensure all contract obligations are met.  
  • Oversees the following: Security Control Center operations, Access Control/Response/Circulation Enforcement, Badge Administration, and Common Access Card Administration.  
  • Ensures all SOC personnel are properly trained and capable of conducting primary duties while on-duty.     
  • Provide first response & assessment of emergency situations (Red Cross first aid, Adult CPR, external defibrillator (AED) certifications)  
  • May conduct security inspections, respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies and provide assistance as required. 
  • Will be one of the primary managers working within the Regional SOC Operations cell in directing a multitude of tasks, which will include all of the following; Shift Schedules, Training Schedule, training oversight/training records maintenance/database management/training curriculum development for all contract employees. 
  • Conducts Quality Control of Shift Supervisors, Alarm Monitors, General Administrative (CAC/Badge/VAR) and Access Control employees on policy and procedures, to include Shift procedures. Responsible for overall management and execution of JQS (Job Qualification Standards).  
  • Supplements Operations Management cell on special projects such as Pandemic Response Actions, OnGuard issues, special events, conferences and security plans and procedures, etc. Supplements WITS actions as necessary. 
  • Assists with property inventory and management which includes all issued clothing items.    
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a BS/BA degree in security, law enforcement, or management related fields.  and/or equivalent training and experience; or an AS/AA degree and eight (8) years and/or equivalent training and experience.  
  • Six (6) years management experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.   
  •  Eight (8) years' experience in security or law enforcement administration and substantial operations experience in the armed forces, security, police, or civilian equivalent or related field, six (6) of which is at the supervisory level.   
  •  Six (6) years of progressively responsible general experience gained in analytical decision making and administrative work and activities at the executive management level.  
  • Six (6) years of specialized experience directly related to the work performed in physical security or law enforcement.  
  • Must have prior experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor. 
  • Must hold an active Secret Clearance  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of entire Microsoft Office suite.
